The Referral Network
We meet on 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month to help businesses grow by referring to each other's services without any conflicts of interest.
The History of The Referral Network
The Referral Network was established on November 11, 1999. The group was born from members who had been meeting in a national organization and found it to be too restrictive. The Referral Network was created to allow businesses that included telecommuters and other small business entrepreneurs.
No competition within the group is allowed, but similar businesses can promote different aspects of that business. We get to know one another socially and encourage the use of each other's services to build loyalty and understanding of each business and therefore feel comfortable referring members to our own clientele.
Our success stories are regular. Some of our members have reached a point of "graduating" from the group because they cannot handle any more clients. Some use the group as their only advertising.
The Referral Network differs from other groups in several ways: home-based offices are allowed; there are no unreasonable dues or fines; and missing an occasional meeting doesn't jeopardize membership.
One member described the Referral Network as "being about service and relationships." And that is what Referral Networking is all about.
